SMS opt-in sample (job intake)
Public proof of the voluntary opt-in used by Repair Status shops for customer-care / repair
status texts. Last updated: August 2026.
How consent is collected
At vehicle drop-off / intake, shop staff enter the customer’s mobile number on the job card
in the Repair Status app. SMS consent is a separate,
optional checkbox labeled “Allow text updates.” The customer (or staff with the
customer’s permission) may leave it unchecked.
-
Checkbox is unchecked by default (not
pre-selected).
-
Consent is not required to drop off a vehicle,
create a repair job, complete a transaction, or use the shop’s services.
-
Consent applies only to customer-care / repair status
SMS from that shop (not marketing, not third-party campaigns).
- Providing a phone number alone does not opt the customer in; the checkbox must be checked.
